This popular course leads to an internationally recognized qualification and follows the syllabus created by the Information Systems Examinations Board (ISEB) - part of the British Computer Society - providing delegates with a breadth of project management training, including both technical and team management skills, for those practicing in the Information Systems (IS) sector.
The course is only available to PRINCE2™ Practitioner Certificate holders and is presented in a 5-day (usually) residential format. Days 1-3 are largely focused on the practical, real-world topics not addressed by a typical PRINCE2™ Practitioner course, Earned Value Analysis, for example. Other topics, including organisation structure planning, are re-capped. Day 4 is largely focused on examination preparation and delegates receive extensive coaching in conjunction with practice examination papers. The ISEB written paper follows on the Friday morning. Coaching is also provided for the subsequent oral interview that is conducted some weeks after the course.
As with all ITP courses, this course is presented by a skilled lecturer with extensive experience in the practical, 'real-world' application of Project Management. The lecturer is ISEB & PRINCE2™ accredited and is able to illustrate the theory by relating it to real project situations.
The standard fees for the course are inclusive of tuition, course materials and full-board accommodation for the duration of each course module, plus both the written & oral examination fees.
This course is intended for PRINCE2™ Practitioners who, as IS professionals, are in, or are moving into, a managerial role. It is also suitable for non-IS managers who are taking on IS project management responsibilities using PRINCE2™ or other recognised methodologies. Project Management consultants who wish to gain a professional qualification and a recognized certificate to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise in the field, will also find this course to be of great value.
It is likely that delegates attending the course and entering the examination will have a minimum of four years Information Systems and/or managerial experience.
