This popular course leads to an internationally recognized qualification and follows the syllabus created by the Information Systems Examinations Board (ISEB) - part of the British Computer Society - providing delegates with a breadth of project management training, including both technical and team management skills, for those practicing in the Information Systems (IS) sector. The course is presented as two, one-week modules-each module is a self-contained unit, but presentations are continuous and may be considered to be a single two-week course with the examination on the last day of module 2. The modular structure of the courses allows flexibility, and some delegates, if they wish, may attend module 1 and then allow a gap before returning for module 2 and the examination. All ITP courses are presented by skilled lecturers with extensive experience in the practical, 'real-world' application of Project Management and are able to illustrate the theory by relating it to real project situations. The standard fee for the two weeks is inclusive of tuition, course materials and full-board accommodation for the duration of each course module, plus both the written and oral examination fees.
This course is intended for IS Professionals who are in, or are moving into, a managerial role. It is also suitable for non-IS managers who are taking on IS project management responsibilities using PRINCE2™ or other recognised methodologies. Project Management consultants who wish to gain a professional qualification and a recognized certificate to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise in the field, will also find this course to be of great value. It is likely that delegates attending the course and entering the examination will have a minimum of four years Information Systems and/or managerial experience
