PRINCE2™ Practitioner Course

 

The ITP PRINCE2™ - PRojects IN Controlled Envronments - Practitioner course has three main threads to it:

 

PRINCE2™ principles: the need for structured project management, why pragmatic and intelligent use of methods is so important and how PRINCE2™ can be employed to achieve business-related objectives

The PRINCE2™ method: what PRINCE2™ looks like, how the major components; processes, such as planning and control, work on their own as well as together, and how the roles associated with the method can be made really effective.

The implementation of PRINCE2™: providing sound, practical advice on introducing the method into a range of different environments, always bearing in mind the need to keep bureaucracy to a minimum.

 

Both the one-hour, multiple choice Foundation and the three-hour, written Practitioner examinations are sat on the final day of the course.

All ITP courses are presented by skilled lecturers with extensive experience in the practical, 'real-world' application of PRINCE2™ in the project environment, and the course includes Foundation and Practitioner examination coaching with the opportunity to tackle mock examination questions.

Flexibility is a key issue with the PRINCE2™ examinations - delegates can either take the exam at the end of the course, or at a later date, if more convenient. Delegates who pass the Practitioner examination will appear on the central register for qualified PRINCE2™ Practitioners. The PRINCE2™ Practitioners course is intended for managers and potential PRINCE2™ practitioners who require 'hands-on' experience of the PRINCE2™ techniques, processes and components. Delegates are likely to have had experience of team leading, project management, project assurance/support and/or user management.
